One of our favorite suppliers is Scenic Cruises. With so many options for river cruises why not travel with one that offers 5-star, all-inclusive luxury. Cruising on many of the major rivers of the world, Scenic offers an elegant, yet relaxed atmosphere aboard their vessels.
But, unlike many river cruise companies, Scenic also offers a small-ship "yacht-like" ocean-going vessel, the Scenic Eclipse. Normally, we don't give links on our website that will lead you away from our agency, but we've made an exception here. Click on either of the photos below to go to Scenic's website. There you can explore the many options as far as itineraries and vacation options. All we ask is that you call us at findacruisedeal.com when you are ready to book. Our number is 310-540-7767. This is different than the numbers you will see on the Scenic web page. There is no advantage of booking direct with the cruise line. We are here to help you! There is nothing like Alaska! Our owner has been there twelve times and keeps going back for more. While we can help you with your Alaska cruise at all budget levels (contemporary, premium or luxury), in 2023 we hope to lead a group aboard the luxury ships of Seabourn Cruises. One of the advantages of small ship cruising (only 450 passengers!) is the fact that vessels of this size can get in to locations the large ships cannot navigate. And, if you see a pod of whales, the larger ships just keep cruising. But with the ships of Seabourn they know this is why you came to Alaska! With Ventures by Seabourn you even get the opportunity to kayak among the glaciers (not included in cruise fare). Beverages and gratuities are included with this luxury cruise line too! Departing May 11, 2023 for 15 nights, (or you can do a 7-night or 8-night portion) we will sail from Vancouver to Juneau, Alaska. This itinerary visits Glacier Bay and many more exciting places you simply won't see on other cruise lines. Contact us for more information about this magnificent trip. We hope you'll join us...OR we can help you book ANY cruise line for the 2023 season and beyond. We are Alaska experts! ![]() In June of 2022 our owner will lead his fifth Africa safari. This will be the twelfth time he has visited this great continent! On this safari we will return to Botswana. An optional post-safari tour will travel from Victoria Falls to Pretoria, South Africa on the famous Rovos Rail! This is, perhaps, our best itinerary yet! Itinerary Arrive on June 13, 2022 in Johannesburg, South Africa. Spend the night at your hotel before departing the following morning for our first stop in Botswana. On June 14 we arrive at the Moremi Game Reserve, where we will spend three nights in our tented camp located on the beautiful Xakanaxa Lagoon in the eastern extremity of the Okavango Delta. Meals, activities and other amenities are all included! Join us as we search for leopards, lions and other animals on guided game drives and via the surrounding channels on motorboats. The morning of June 17 we fly to our camp in the Okavango Delta. There our camp overlooks the delta's lush channels, with superb views of the seasonal floodplains. The Okavango Delta is a World Heritage Site and one of the world's largest inland deltas. It is known as one of the most incredible wilderness sanctuaries in Africa. Like few places in the world, this is a wondrous wetland within a desert! Here we will explore the wetlands aboard a mokoro, a traditional dugout canoe, quietly enjoying the water lilies and viewing spectacular bird life. After breakfast on June 19 we take a morning flight to our final stop, Savute. This channel is a legendary wildlife region, knowns for its large numbers of predators. For different species, the Savute Channel is a place of refuge, ann obstacle, an unrivaled food source, a playground and a graveyard. Our safari lodge is located on the banks of the Stolen River in a setting of singular beauty. For the next three days we will enjoy game viewing opportunities as we search for lions, cheetahs, hyenas as well as giraffe, black-backed jackals or wild dogs. On June 22 the safari comes to an end for those who do not want to take part in the optional Rovos Rail trip. For those taking part in the optional trip, we travel to Victoria Falls for one night in a hotel and a brief visit to the falls before boarding our Rovos Rail train for four nights en route to Pretoria, South Africa. Don't delay on signing up for your trip to Africa. If you want to sign up, send us an e-mail. We will send you a link to complete the sign-up forms. All of these lodges are smaller cabins and will sell out very early...as will to Rovos Rail train! Some of Carl's favorite photos from previous Africa trips can be found at carldreizlerphotography.com ![]() On May 24, 2018 we hope to escort a group on a river cruise from Vilshofen to Budapest. ![]() In our more than 22 years in the travel business we can think of only a few Alaska cruises that were offered round trip from Los Angeles. In 2018 we escorted the largest group in the history of findacrusiedeal.com on a voyage from Los Angeles. We hope to escort another group in 2019. NOW...because this cruise was so popular, Princess has added alternate dates for the round trip Los Angeles to Alaska cruise. September 11, 2018; September 19, 2018; April 23, 2019; April 27, 2019; September 17, 2019. If we get enough participants on any of these voyages, we will escort them as well! If you are even considering this cruise, we recommend you call us now as your deposit is refundable! You have nothing to lose! If you wait until later, the ships WILL be sold out. ![]()
![]() In July of 2017 we hope to escort a group aboard Oceania Cruises' Insignia on a great itinerary! This 20-night cruise departs from Miami...heads up the coast of the USA and visits ports such as New York, Boston and Bar Habor. We then visit a few Canadian ports before continuing on to Greenland and Iceland. Oceania is one of our favorite cruises and we have sailed on all of their ships...except the one that recently joined their fleet. With only 674 passengers, we feel the Insignia is just the right size for a cruise ship. As an Ensemble Hosted Cruise you will also take part in a complimentary escorted tour in Halifax as well as a hosted cocktail party. For more information about this cruise downlad the flyer below and then call us to hold your cabin or suite. We hope to see you on board! ![]()
![]() This photo of a Gentoo penguin family was taken by our owner Carl on one of his previous trips to Antarctica. In December of 2017 he hopes to lead another group on a luxury expedition trip to Antarctica, this time aboard the Silver Cloud from Silversea Cruises. The itinerary on this sailing will be much different than those he previous led. He is very excited that this time the cruise will also visit South Georgia Island. This special place in the world is known for its king penguins and elephant seals. There are also stops in the Falkland Islands. For further information about the itinerary on this 19-night cruise departing December 21, 2017 click on and download the PDF flier below and/or contact our office. During a recent trip to Fiji, our owner had the privilege of staying at the Matangi Private Island Resort in Fiji. The island is owned by a family who has had the property in their family for several generations. From the time you step foot on the island you feel welcome...the "Bula" spirit of Fiji overwhelms you.
Even though our owner, who travels as a single, was surrounded by honeymoon couples, the staff made sure he felt at home and just as important as any other visitor. As an avid diver and snorkeler, we found the coral reefs around Matangi to be spectacular. After taking the picture from a hike over Horseshoe Bay (above, left), our owner went snorkeling in these same waters. "I would have still been there if the staff hadn't told me that it was time to go back. I've been SCUBA diving all over the world and snorkeling in Horseshoe Bay was better than many SCUBA dives from my past journeys." With just a handful of bures--ranging from ocean view to tree houses, the feeling is intimate and peaceful. The food is delicious and plentiful and the staff have hearts of gold. We at findacruisedeal.com want to help you plan your trip to Fiji, be it at Matangi Private Island Resort or any of the other beautiful properties we represent. For more photos of Matangi Private Island Resort Click Here ![]() Recently our owner had the pleasure of staying at the Namale Resort and Spa in Fiji. Despite the name of our agency, findacruisedeal.com, we are also specialists at planning LAND-based vacations. In fact we are South Pacific experts specializing in the islands of Tahiti, Hawaii and Fiji as well as Australia. Perhaps the best way for us to tell you about the magnificence of the Namale Resort and Spa is through the photos we took during our stay. They can be found under the "Photo Album" tab on our website. To make it easy for you Click Here to open the slide show displaying photos from our stay at Namale. The Namale resort is located on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Spread among lush tropical plants are various types of separate bungalows (called "bures" in Fiji). Each bure offers privacy and a unique view of the grounds and/or the ocean. The dining room overlooks a spectacular bay and the tide pools below. The spa is among the most beautiful we've seen with a great view of the blowhole from the various relaxation pools and treatment rooms. For the active person there are many daily options offered by the activity staff. These events include snorkeling trips, nature walks, village visits and a variety of other outings. A huge plus of Namale over other resorts is the fact that they are "all-inclusive". Activities (with some exceptions such as SCUBA), meals, entertainment and beverages are all part of the price! Like most resorts in Fiji, Namale is the perfect setting for honeymoon couples or those celebrating a special anniversary. The staff can arrange such activities as couples massages, a private breakfast overlooking the blowhole or a special private lunch at the base of their on-property waterfall. Perhaps our favorite part of our stay at Namale is the people. It is our opinion that Fiji has the nicest people in the world. And the welcoming staff at Namale are the best of example of that "Bula" spirit that is such a crucial part of visiting these picturesque islands. Thank you, vinaka and Bula to my new friends at #namaleresort Well done! |
