Matangi Private Island Resort--Fiji

During a recent trip to Fiji, our owner had the privilege of staying at the Matangi Private Island Resort in Fiji. The island is owned by a family who has had the property in their family for several generations. From the time you step foot on the island you feel welcome...the "Bula" spirit of Fiji overwhelms you.

Even though our owner, who travels as a single, was surrounded by honeymoon couples, the staff made sure he felt at home and just as important as any other visitor.

As an avid diver and snorkeler, we found the coral reefs around Matangi to be spectacular. After taking the picture from a hike over Horseshoe Bay (above, left), our owner went snorkeling in these same waters. "I would have still been there if the staff hadn't told me that it was time to go back. I've been SCUBA diving all over the world and snorkeling in Horseshoe Bay was better than many SCUBA dives from my past journeys."

With just a handful of bures--ranging from ocean view to tree houses, the feeling is intimate and peaceful. The food is delicious and plentiful and the staff have hearts of gold. Namale Resort, Fiji

Recently our owner had the pleasure of staying at the Namale Resort and Spa in Fiji. Despite the name of our agency, findacruisedeal.com, we are also specialists at planning LAND-based vacations. In fact we are South Pacific experts specializing in the islands of Tahiti, Hawaii and Fiji as well as Australia.

Perhaps the best way for us to tell you about the magnificence of the Namale Resort and Spa is through the photos we took during our stay. The Namale resort is located on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Spread among lush tropical plants are various types of separate bungalows (called "bures" in Fiji). Each bure offers privacy and a unique view of the grounds and/or the ocean. The dining room overlooks a spectacular bay and the tide pools below. The spa is among the most beautiful we've seen with a great view of the blowhole from the various relaxation pools and treatment rooms.

For the active person there are many daily options offered by the activity staff. These events include snorkeling trips, nature walks, village visits and a variety of other outings. A huge plus of Namale over other resorts is the fact that they are "all-inclusive". Activities (with some exceptions such as SCUBA), meals, entertainment and beverages are all part of the price!

Like most resorts in Fiji, Namale is the perfect setting for honeymoon couples or those celebrating a special anniversary. The staff can arrange such activities as couples massages, a private breakfast overlooking the blowhole or a special private lunch at the base of their on-property waterfall.

Perhaps our favorite part of our stay at Namale is the people. It is our opinion that Fiji has the nicest people in the world. And the welcoming staff at Namale are the best of example of that "Bula" spirit that is such a crucial part of visiting these picturesque islands. Over the past few years, Carl Dreizler, owner of findacruisedeal.com has had the pleasure of cruising aboard the Paul Gauguin several times. He usually tries to schedule his cruises during one of those where Jean-Michel Cousteau is a featured speaker.

Celebrate Our 20-Year Anniversary!

During the first quarter of 2016 findacruisedeal.com will celebrate 20 years of providing cruise and land-based vacations for our clients.

Our hope is that as many of our past (and new) clients as possible will join us for one of two 20-Year-Anniversary cruises! One to the South Pacific! One along the West Coast of the USA! Of course you are welcome to participate in both of these cruises if you really want to celebrate!

10-Night Paul Gauguin Cruise to the South Pacific! It is only appropriate that one of our three celebration cruises takes us to our favorite place in the world...the Tuamotus and Society Islands! This 10-night cruise also features our good friend Jean-Michel Cousteau. Our owner has been on this ship more than a half-dozen times and can't wait to go back for more. His favorite day is the private motu (island) visit in Taha'a. Departing June 1, 2016. Because this is a smaller ship, it does fill up very early so we recommend that you hold your space soon!
